The southwest of England has been suffering from a record high number of strandings of dolphins along the coast. Experts fear that the loss of any more bottlenose dolphins in the area could cause the end of them all together. Conservationists have worked hard to devise a system to help the dolphins avoid being prey to fishing nets and the plan will be implemented in the waters of Cornwall. (more…)

Researchers at the University of Leeds have invented a “virtually waterless” washing machine. This new machine will use less than 2% of the energy and water of the machines that we are currently using while removing stains just effectively.
